So this weekend was a busy one full of family, fun and faith!
On Friday, we (as in, my entire family, Mom, Dad, 5 siblings, husband and 2 daughters... phew) drove up to Atlanta, home of my brother, David and his wonderful wife, Bekah. Once we got there, after the 8 hour drive, we just hung out at their house for the rest of the day. The next morning we went to Six Flags (Lacey keeps calling it Three Flags... silly girl). Tim and all my siblings went to ride the coasters and I stayed back with my parents and daughters. We headed straight for the "kiddie" rides. Here is Lacey on the balloon ride. I never thought she would go on it, but she did and she loved it! Here she is peeking over the edge looking for Grandma, Grandpa and Noelle (if you look closely, they are sitting down right behind her head).
Then the Carousel, of course! By the way, this is her second of four rides on the carousel... she likes it, just a bit ;) And Noelle joined her this time with the assistance of Grandpa.
And this was just too cute to leave out! Have teddy bear and paci, will travel ;) Lacey and Aunt Sarah enjoying the yummiest treat in the entire park! Mmmmm! After the ice cream break, we had to ride the train!
Then we went home and Noelle took a quick dip with Uncle David in the pool. And drank the water... what, you don't do that too?
I was holding Lacey's hand as we toured it. She kept asking questions about the things she was seeing. And I loved answering her! I have to say that my favorite part was just looking down at my daughter, who was holding my hand as she was walking in her little white booties to keep the carpet clean. I couldn't help but be so grateful for the Savior. He made and continues to make it possible for me to be with her and all my family, not just for our life on earth , but forever, through the eternities! To me there was no better way to celebrate Easter!
Easter morning the girls found their Easter baskets! Yum! Then I put the girls in their adorable Easter dresses to go to church... what was that? Where are the pictures of the girls in their adorable Easter dresses... well, yours truly is a slacker. On the plus side, we got to church on time ;)
After church and nap time, we dyed eggs (thank you Bekah) and hunted for them!
Lacey was very into decorating her eggs. So serious...
... until it was finished. Then she was all smiles showing it off! (By the way, that woman in the background is my amazing and gorgeous sister-in-law, who put this all together. Good job David!)
Noelle didn't want to be left out. She added some stickers to her egg before she ate it ;)
Just when you thought things couldn't get more fun... Easter Bunny enter stage right. Noelle loved the Easter Bunny and went right up to and got in her lap.
And what was Lacey doing during the Easter Bunny appearance... Standing as far away as possible staring at it.
Once the Easter Bunny left, Lacey got down to business finding eggs.
And Noelle got busy eating the eggs that Lacey found ;)
